Mohammad Sami, FASc & FNASc is a theoretical physicist and cosmologist, known for his work on dark energy. He served as (Founder) director of the Centre for Theoretical Physics (CTP) and also as the Dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences in Jamia Millia Islamia at New Delhi, India. M. Sami has contributed to the cutting-edge areas of research in modern cosmology such as dark energy, modified theories of gravity, quintessential inflation on brane, D-brane inflation and extended schemes of massive gravity. Prof. M.Sami has several research collaborations both at national and international level. Along with his technical research, he strongly encourages the importance of popularizing science in society. He is the recipient of several national and international awarded fellowships such as Hon’ble President of India Visitor’s award for path breaking research in Cosmology and Astrophysics, 2015. He is also the Vice President of Association of Asia Pacific Physical Societies (AAPS).
