Dr. Aditi Agarwal did her PhD from Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), Nainital. After that, Dr. Agarwal received National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF) from SERB-DST to carry her post-doctorate from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru. Later, she continued her research as a research associate at Raman Research Institute, Bengaluru. The main focus of her research is on active galactic nuclei (AGNs), such as quasars, blazars, and radio galaxies. She has contributed to the understanding of what is happening in these extraordinarily powerful centers of galaxies and in the relativistic jets, using analytical, observational, and computational techniques. She has also studied the frequency-dependent core shifts and parameter estimation for blazars using radio observations to have a better understanding of targets such as the dynamical evolution, the inner sub-parsec structure, dominant radiation mechanisms, and location multi-frequency emissions. She has significant experience in optical and near-IR photometry, spectroscopy, optical polarimetric observations, radio observations, data reduction, and analysis. Recently, she has started working towards the application of machine learning algorithms in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
